Kardemir Expands Product Portfolio by Launching Wire Rod Mill

Kardemir has increased their product portfolio by starting wire rod production. Company is also aiming to include more value added products such as rail wheels in 2 years.

The new wire rod plant will enable Kardemir to offer wire rod thickness ranging 5.5-25 mm and in coils from 20-50 mm as well as round bars in the range of 20-100 mm. The annual capacity for the new plant is 700,000 tons.

Kardemir is also planning to commissioned rail wheel plant with the capacity of 200,000 tons by the end of 2017 or early 2018.
