Japanese Steel Products Plant Launched In Kazakhstan

Japanese steel products plant, the Tokyo Rope Almaty plant, was launched in Kazakh city of Almaty, Kazakh presidential press-service reported.

The plant will produce a variety of metal products, among them heavy-duty grids for further production of gabion systems used for prevention and elimination of emergency situations.

The projected capacity of the plant will amount to 5,000 tons of metal products per year at the first phase, with its further increase. It is expected that the company's output will not only be utilized in Kazakhstan, but also supplied to the CIS states and other countries.

Tokyo Rope is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-tech steel wire ropes, guy ropes for bridges, steel wire cords for tires, wire for the solar industry and other metal products.
