When Johann Peter Waskönig founded his company for the production of hat wire in 1873, he had no idea that one day it would be one of the most successful producers of quality cables for professional use in Germany .

What he did know even then, though, was the importance of quality, service and innovation to the success of a business. As a logical step, in 1920 Waskönig+Walter began to manufacture wires for dynamos – and so laid down another stepping stone on the road to the success that has carried on until today.

Now in its fifth generation, Waskönig+Walter still remains under family ownership.
As the great-great-grandsons of the founder, Michael and Jörg Waskönig, with Stefan Nestler, still stand – 140 years later – for first-class products and progressive ideas.

And even if the company itself, production methods and the uses for our products have changed over time, one thing has stayed the same: the clear competitive advantage of  service, quality and innovation.
