History

A group of businessmen has came together and structured a company that's main production was electric and communication cables. In order to compete in this sector and to develop new technologies, a new department in company was settled to make maintenance and simple productions to support company. In years, this department developed and the factory began to research, design and produce its own machines.

In 1990, management of the group decided to continue machinery business more professionally, so they decided to separate the department from the firm as a new company. New factory was established on a land of totaling 13.000 m² of which 9.500 m² areas is closed.

According to the group's main activities, firm begin to develop cable machinery technologies, which enables group to compete all over the world. In this manner, in 1993 firm developed its own technology for production of fiber optic cables.

In the following years, as firm has a wide machinery park, firm began sub-contracting for spare parts machining mainly for automotive and defense industries.

When group separated in 1999, machinery company is bought by one of the partner families and Savsan A.Ş. was structured as a seperate incorporated company. After re-structuring in 2006, Savsan A.Ş. has begun to deal with cable machinery business as designing, producing, installing, turn-key delivering and servicing.

After this operation firm decided to make new investments on Hygienic Papers Sector and developed its own technology for baby diaper and lady napkins production lines. Also firm decided to grow in defense industry. In this manner expanded its business with Ministry of Defence of Turkey and TUBITAK (official R&D institution of Republic of Turkey).

We are mainly working with Ministry of Defence of Turkish Republic and delivered them 2 SKODA Bohrwerk machines (bought and sold), and Hexagon CMM measurement devices. 

Our firm is delivering turn-key projects, high quality machines and spare parts worldwide. Some of the machines are working in Spain, Austria, France, Russia, and Malaysia.

In previous years our group also worked as a sub-contractor for Turkish TOFAŞ (Fiat and Turkish Company partnership for car production) and IVECO Italy for production of different types of spare parts for car production. Also our group has made deliveries to local Turkish tractor producers for machining of their spares.

In the most recent project, we have made delivery to Turkish Armed Forces for molding and machining of gearbox frames for Armed Vehicles by winning their Contract. We are continuously supplying to Turkish Land Forces Main Maintenance Commands. We are mainly supplying spares and systems for M-48, M-60, M-118, Leopard, etc. Tanks and Armored Military Vehicles. In this scope we are representing several companies with different production ranges.

Our firm is certified by Turkish Standard Institute for ISO 9000:2008. Our company is employing around 50 people on the average 10 of which are engineers, 12 are highly qualified technicians, 6 are university graduate administrative professionals and remaining are skilled workers as welders or metal workers.
