Doncaster Cables is an independent electric cable manufacturing company. Our state-of-the-art facility in Bentley, Doncaster is equipped with the most advanced cable making plant and equipment. The cables and flexibles manufactured by Doncaster Cables are produced to the highest level of quality and in strict compliance with the appropriate British, European and other relevant standards and specifications.

The production factory is situated on a modern industrial site and is equipped with the most up to date cable making plant and equipment. The production is supported by high technology and stringent quality control of all raw materials.

Doncaster Cables is a BASEC Licensee and has also been awarded the certificate of Assessed Quality Management by the British Approval Service for Cables. Such certification is only awarded to manufacturers whose factory and quality control procedures meet the stringent requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 : 2008 Quality System.

The BASEC Symbol which is shown alongside the product reference, indicates that the cable or flexible has been produced under the BASEC System of Surveillance.

Doncaster Cables is recognised as an approved supplier to many local authorities, area boards and large public organisations, and its products are specified and used throughout the United Kingdom and in many countries overseas.

Doncaster Cables

Doncaster Cables is the largest British owned general wiring manufacturer in the UK.

We have been manufacturing cables since 1984 and among our current staff alone we have over 1000 years direct cable manufacturing experience. Throughout this time we have continued to develop in to an internationally recognised brand throughout the cable industry.

Our company has experienced and dedicated staff, committed to developing and improving customer service. In addition to these points, we also have trained specialist technical staff who provide back up and valuable help to answer many customer questions.

As well as our third party approvals from BASEC, LPCB, CSA and UL we are also a member of the Approved Cables Initiative (ACI). As a UK cable manufacturer we see ourselves as an integral part of the ACI's mission; which is to be an "industry wide working group with supply chain representatives bodies that has been established to address the issue of unsafe, non-approved and counterfeit cable entering the UK market place".

We Manufacture!

Our manufacturing facility is equipped with modern cable making plant and equipment, allowing us to control all aspects of the manufacturing process; from wire drawing and compound manufacture through to the subsequent cable manufacturing processes to achieve the finished product. This allows us to be at the forefront of product development in order to maintain our cables at the highest quality.

Our extensive manufacturing capabilities and versatility enable us to manufacture an extensive product range. A range which not only covers cables manufactured to meet British, European and International Standards; but also, through research and development with our customers, we can manufacture to customer specific specifications. These research, trial and development projects have resulted in the creation of new products made specifically to their (or in the future your) requirements.

We operate a Quality Management System (QMS) which is compliant with the stringent requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008. This QMS is regularly audited by our third party approval bodies, including BASEC (British Approvals Service for Cables) and LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board), to ensure that we continually improve as a company. Proof of this continued development can be illustrated by the fact that we have maintained our third party approvals continuously for over 24 years.




We Sell!

Within the Doncaster Cables sales team there is over 70 years' first hand cable sales experience. The members of our sales team are enthusiastic, professional and understand that the customer comes first.

Doncaster Cables has a complete business structure - the cable manufacturing plant, distribution warehouse and sales offices all located on the same site and central to the UK. This set up allows our sales team to be in direct contact and access both cable manufacturer and distribution. This relationship means that it is easier for our sales team to meet customers' needs and requirements efficiently and reliably.

Even though most members of our sales team come to us with previous sales experience; we ensure that each new sales assistant is trained so that they have comprehensive cable specific knowledge - thus allowing them to understand your requirements and your specifications. In addition to this training; the sales team is supported by a full team of highly trained, specialist technical staff who have hands on experience of the manufacturing the product. This technical team provides back up and valuable help to answer many customer questions.

Doncaster Cables is now an independent cable manufacturer and supplier; we no longer only use one wholesaler to distribute our products. This means that we can now supply any wholesaler throughout the UK - giving electrical wholesalers up and down the country the opportunity to stock and supply the premium 'Doncaster Cables' brand. And in doing this, wholesalers can support British manufacturing by supplying cables which are manufactured to the highest quality within the United Kingdom.

Further to this, we have numerous well established export arrangements to many countries overseas. The desire for electric cables which have been manufactured in Great Britain, or 'A Great British Cable', is respected throughout the world.
