About Us

History

Üntel, the leader cable producer of Turkey, was founded by Mehmet Ünlü and Feyyaz Günan partnership in 1973 to produce thermoplastic and rubber based cable with a target to be the best of this area in Turkey. Üntel reached its target in the past 38 years with its innovations, wide product range and high quality, and determined a new target to be the best in the world. Today Üntel is among the biggest 1000 industrial institutions in Turkey.

Market

We are demanded first by the big firms in our country. Half of the products we produce are exported to 55 countries in every continent. Today Üntel produces low and mid-voltage cables from PVC, HFFR, XLPE, Polyurethane and special rubber material which do not include halogen, have flame retardant characteristic and do not harm the environment according to industrial needs. The variety of products made Üntel called as "Special Cable Producer" in the market. With its exceptionally wide product portfolio and fund of knowledge, Üntel can realize everything.

Management

Üntel has protected its partnership structure since its foundation and today it is still managed by Mehmet Ünlü, Feyyaz Günan, with the additions of 2. Generation and a staff of experienced professionals.



Plants

Production first began in Kağıtane and continued in the factory in Ümraniye İstanbul in 1983. At the end of 2009 Üntel made the opening of its factory in Dilovası – Kocaeli, on 42 decare land with 18.650m2 closed area and with the cutting edge technology of the world. Today production continues in our Ümraniye and Dilovası factories.

Quality Through Experience...

ÜNTEL KABLO,  one of leading cable manufacturers in the world was established in 1972, Turkey. With almost 50 years of experience, continuously develops and optimize her product range with the help of advanced technology and well trained staff.

Product range consists over 15.000 different types of cables, covers both rubber and thermoplastic cables up to Medium Voltage (MV) range. ÜNTEL's power and instrumentation cables supplies energy for industries which requires experience like marine, offshore, mines and tunnels, airports, railways and have been used in industrial ways such as heavy-duty rubber drum reeling cables, welding cables, control cables and fire resistant cables. ÜNTEL is also able to produce tailor made products for special purposes. Today these products are exported over 70 countries on six continents.

By the end of 2009, ÜNTEL finalized the investment of a new high-tech plant near Istanbul. Now continues her operations on 43.000 m2 land space with 32.000 m2 closed area.  By having 3.000 tons copper drawing and 4.000 tons different type of compound processing capacity, ÜNTEL produces 30.000 tones of cable per year. By means of new factory building, state of the art machines and unique ERP system investments ÜNTEL aimed absolute customer satisfaction.

Üntel's laboratories which are approved by organisations that specify the standars are equipped with advanced technology test and measurement devices. Within the scope of Quality System Certificates there is a quality management system presents in Üntel according to ISO, IQnet and TSE quality standarts.. Around 200 different types of cables are certified by global organisations like VDE, KEMA,  ABS, UL, BV, DNV-GL, RINA and TSE.
