Amo specialkabel AB, former Alstermo Produktion AB, was founded in 1992 and was the first company in the amokabel group. We are a privately owned company where all the manufacturing takes place in modern facilities in Alstermo, in the the south of Sweden. By continuously evaluating new materials we are in the front of developing new types of cables, up until now we have manufactured more than 4000 different cable constructions! Most of the cables produced are tested and certified by the leading test institutes. Of course we are certified for  ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

At the special cable division we are about 40 employees running several extrusion lines, cabling machines and braiding / armoring lines. We are producing everything towards customer orders. By being quick to quote, produce and- deliver, and flexible when it comes to developing special cable for each customer's needs and wishes, we are a strong player within the cable industry.

In 2008 we started amo spesialkabel AS, a subsidiary based in Ålesund, Norway. Here we keep a wide range of ship cables in stock. They act as a distributor in Norway, but can also provide urgent requirements of cables from stock worldwide.

The amokabel group

Amokabel is a privately owned, Scandinavian group of companies producing different types of conductors, cables and consumer packed products. We are leading in our branch of business when it comes to flexibility in the production and short delivery times. Focusing on high quality and minimal impact on the environment, we are always working on new innovations and developing new products.

By a specialized product range, we have managed to become market leading of the segments in which we operate. Beyond our core business, we also invest in wind and water power and we are now self sufficient of green energy.

The first company in the amokabel group was founded in 1992. By constant development and modernization of our machinery, we have been able to build a very profitable and successful group of companies. Our constant pursuits for growth lead to several new establishments of producing companies during the 1990´s. During the 2000´s we have started two sales companies in Norway, and become part owners of factories in India and Hungary. We have also invested in expanding our production facilities. Today we dispose over 27 000m².

Our factory and head office are located in Alstermo, which is 70 km from both Växjö and Kalmar. We can produce thousands of different cables, and possess both the machinery and the know how to build constructions and produce entirely in accordance to the customer's specific requirements.

We are driven by constant development of our products and processes, and to always be associated with high quality. To us delivery time, quality and flexibility are the most important qualities of a good supplier. Our producing companies themselves are responsible for the whole process, from inquiry to delivery. This result in short delivery times and makes our staff perform their best to fulfill the demands and whishes of our customers.

By reinvesting most of the profits in the companies, the amokabel group has become very solid financially. The culture of our companies is built on common sense, simplicity and long term thinking. Thanks to that, we consider ourselves to be well prepared for future expansions, without having to abstain profits.
