History of Simia manufacturing Company

In the first years after the revolution, when the country's industry was empty of western companies, their agents and managers with Iranian experience, most industries including the wire and cable industry, were in unfavourable conditions. Simia Company was established on January 17, 1982 with concurrence and participation of the current shareholders.

At the beginning, the name of Electrical Wires was registered, but after a while in order to Persianize the names of the companies, the beautiful name Simia was chosen and registered for this company. Simia literally means knowledge of things that make a person wealthy, while drawing the listener's attention to the nature of the company's products (ie wires and cables), also makes the company's name meaningful.

The company's first location was a 480 m² hall in Islamshahr, where two types of construction wires were manufactured using two extruders lines. Work began with 10 staff members and over time this number increased to 30 employees who were able to produce 1500 tones of wires and cables per year.

The management of Simia Company has always believed that the products of this company should have the best possible quality for the consumer. Therefore, despite the limited facilities and lack of space, one of the first steps taken was to equip a laboratory to test and ensure the quality of the products.

Simia Company, like any other reputable and dynamic company, has experienced step-by-step growth stages during its life.

In 1993, the factory was moved to Nasirabad near Robat Karim.

At the beginning of transfer, it was located on a land with an area of 2000 m² and a hall with an area of 600 m². Gradually, with the addition of land surrounding the factory and the construction of new halls, the Simia Factory with 9000 m² of land, 3600 m² of halls, and about 130 personnel, reached an annual production capacity of 5100 tons of wires and cables.

At that time, Simia head office was located on a space of 120 m² with 8 employees in Sohrevardi Ave; Tehran.

Due to the fact that the board of directors and CEO of Simia Company planned for continuous growth, it was necessary to relocate the factory and the head office to a larger facility with more space. In 2005, the Sepehr Industrial Town near Nazarabad, which is located 90 kilometers west of Tehran, was chosen to build a new Simia factory, based on factors such as proximity to Tehran, the use of industrial estates, and the possibility of more efficiently utilizing  human resources. Simia's new factory opened in 2011 on a 35,000 m² campus that includes a 10,000 m² production hall, a 720 m² office building, And over 16,000 m² of indoor and outdoor storage.

Simia company's headquarters were relocated to Dr. Beheshti Ave. (Abbasabad), Pakistan St. in 2006, which its construction was completed in 2010.

Simia Factory currently produces over 18,000 tons of wires and cables for electricity, telecommunications, and instrumentation, annually. This factory, which employs over 200 capable and specialized personnel, is capable of producing 850 various types and sizes of wires and cables.

Simia Factory continues to operate with a variety of machines from the best European manufacturers equipped with the latest technology, including copper and aluminium Rod Drawing Machines and 12- and 16 multi-wire, Medium and Fine drawing machines, bunching machine, stranders, Drum twister, and extruders.

Simia Company's management attitude toward quality maintenance and continuous improvement has resulted in the establishment of a highly equipped laboratory on a 250m² site equipped with modern technology. This laboratory serves as a partner laboratory for the standard organization throughout the country.

In this regard, the company has implemented and received certifications for quality management systems (ISO-17025, ISO-45001, ISO-14001, ISO-9001) as well as the European Union Quality Management Certificate (CE).

Quality and values

The establishment and maintenance of quality management system based on the ISO 9001 standard since 2000, an environmental management system based on the ISO 14001 standard, and an occupational health and safety management system based on OHSAS 18001 standard since 2012, from TUV in Germany, as well as receiving CE Certificate (as the first company in the Iranian wire and cable industry) from the DNV Institute in Norway, demonstrate the company's commitment to quality assurance and the efforts of its employees.

Additionally, in order to meet the established quality standards, SIMIA Company has been chosen as the top standard unit in the country in 2009 and has been awarded the title of provincial best unit on several occasions (in 2000, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017).

SIMIA Manufacturing Company, with a 250 m2 laboratory which is equipped with a variety of equipment for conducting tests in the wire and cable industry and the employment of the industry's most experienced specialists, has established an ISO / IEC 17025 laboratory management system and ensured the continuous quality of its products.

SIMIA Manufacturing Company collects wires waste and cables under its brand in order to protect the environment and the rights of its customers.

It should be mentioned that these wires and cables are purchased at the company's location at the current price.

Example 1:
