Brief History of the Company

P.T. Jembo Cable Company Tbk is a publicly held company which manufactures and markets multiple lines of power and telecommunication cable products.  The products  range  from  low-voltage  copper  and  aluminium  conductor  cables,  low  and  medium  voltage  electrical  cables, copperconductor  and  fibre  optics  telecommunication  cables.  Customers include PLN,  PT Telkom,  PT Indosat  and  other state-owned and private companies.

PT Jembo Cable Company Tbk ws incorporated in April 1973 with an initial production of low voltage copper insulated cable and since than the Company continued to contribute in the Indonesian economic growth by adding cable varieties and also extending and improving its production capacity.

Quality is the most important aspect of the Company and this is deeply integrated in the daily performance of the Company. Great investment was conducted to support the maintenance of continual qualified goods and services, by providing tools and equipment in the field of Quality Control. And in its efforts to improve its goods and services quality, the Company succeeded in obtainingan ISO 9002 certificate from TUV Product Service GmbH in 1995 and an ISO 9001 certificate in 2000 which was further renewed by the ISO 9001:2008; where the Company was stated worthy to receive it in April 2010.

The Company listed its shares in the Jakarta Stock Exchange or which is now known as the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 1992.

In 1992, the Company entered into a mutual cooperation agreement in the field of technique with Fujikura Ltd., which is one of the foremost cable manufacturers from Japan.

The implementation of Environmental Management System conducted by the Company since mid 2007 has resulted in the Company stated to be worthy to obtain an ISO 14001:2004 by the Certification Board of TUV Product Service GmbH in December 2007. While for the
Occupational Health and Safety Management System, at the end of December 2009, the Company was also pronounced to receive the OHSAS certificate 18001:2007 by the Certification Board of TUV Product Service GmbH.

Company Tbk. succeeded in the becoming the foremost producer in the wire and cable industry.
