UNE 22510 Cable Code Designation

1st Isolation:

V = Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation.
D = Ethylene propylene (EPR) insulation.
R = Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation

2nd Screens

–Screens for rigid cables:

H = Cables with semiconductor screen on the conductor and on the insulation and individual metal screen.

Safety screens for flexible cables and armored flexible cables:

S1 = Screen of semiconductor mixture extruded on the insulation of each active conductor and drains. rrespondents.
S2 = Semiconductor mixture screen extruded on the set of wired conductors and drains. rrespondents.
H1 = Metal screen placed over the insulation of each active conductor.
0 = Joint metal screen.

3rd Metal protections:

M = Normalized armor of galvanized steel wires.
M1 = Special armor made of galvanized steel wires.
M2 = Galvanized steel cable armor.
MV = Galvanized steel wire armor individually coated with PVC.

4th Sealing and exterior cover:

N = Polychloroprene or similar (PCP).
V = Polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

K    = Compact circular copper rope.
K – AL = Compact aluminum circular rope.
F    = Flexible rope.
