Founded in 1972, Northwire Technical Cable is a privately-held company headquartered in Osceola, WI USA. Northwire markets, designs and manufactures technical and retractile cable and assemblies for diverse applications including energy, life sciences, government, industrial, machine vision, architectural lighting, underwater and more.

Northwire continues to advance its processes, materials, equipment and services to innovate solutions that exceed the demands of our customers.  We've built a global reputation for providing technical custom cables and stocked products with no minimum order requirements and the fastest lead times in the industry.

Today, many cable manufacturers are outsourcing products and production overseas and the demand for high-quality, no minimum order, custom configured cables and assemblies has grown. Northwire continues to be a leader in meeting these demands by integrating corporate operational platforms, such as Lean, Six Sigma® and Project Management, creating innovative employee development programs, teamwork techniques and voice of the customer feedback systems into our philosophy and manufacturing systems.

History

An engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit and industrious nature, Ormund Kravik founded Northwire in 1972. Ormund, co-owner of a cord set manufacturer, received frequent requests from appliance manufacturers for small quantities of custom You are not allowed to view links. Ormund provided leadership for Northwire until 1984 when his son, Mark Kravik, assumed the role of President.  Mark led the second generation for over 30 years, revolutionizing the industry by establishing benchmarks for the shortest lead times, unmatched quality and service excellence.

Today, the family legacy continues under the leadership of Katina Kravik. Northwire's customer-centric focus and tradition of superior performance and service excellence is solidified with this third generation at the helm.
