About Us

Mohawk was established in 1952 as a manufacturer of wire and cable products including LAN, composite and fiber optic cables. They were acquired by Intercole, Inc. in March 1986. Intercole became Cable Design Technologies Corporation (CDT), which was incorporated on May 18, 1988. CDT merged with Belden Inc. in July 2004, becoming Belden CDT, one of the largest U.S.-based manufacturers of high-speed electronic cables. Since then, the CDT has been dropped from the name, and Mohawk's parent company is now known as Belden.
Headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts, Mohawk has been providing fiber and copper cable innovations for over 50 years.  An ISO 9001 certified company, Mohawk develops products to meet and support TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, ICEA and NEMA standards. Mohawk is supported with worldwide management, financial resources, and distribution capabilities of the global Belden operations.

Connecting Your Work Place through Commitment and Excellence
We continue at the forefront of today's Datacom market with over fifty years of industry-leading excellence. This did not happen overnight, nor was it the result of any single individual. It is the result of many factors that has commitment at its core.

Commitment begins at Mohawk with our engineering team designing into each of our cables the best performance available.

Commitment continues in manufacturing from management to machine operators, to in-process and finished goods inspection, to shipping.

Commitment carries through with sales, from the way our inside sales professionals answer their telephones, to the way you are greeted and assisted by our well trained outside sales force. At Mohawk, our commitment to you is to deliver the best products available in today's demanding and cost conscious marketplace.

We have a long, proud history and we will continue to live up to your expectations of delivering a quality product. Our manufacturing facility is ISO 9001 registered. Excellence
This excellence continues beyond the standard four pair constructions to include fiber optic cables and a complete line of high pair count cables through 400 pair. This also includes custom designs such as multi-group bundled cables.
