GAON CABLE, Korea's first cable company

Founded in 1947, GAON CABLE was the first cable company in Korea. Since its inception, GAON CABLE has been contributing to national industrial development by stably supplying all sorts of industrial power cables, which are often considered as "industrial arteries." Based on accumulated experiences and technological capability, GAON CABLE has been producing excellent products across all areas of the cable industry, such as low, middle and high-voltage power cables, data cables and optical communication cables.

In particular, with the launch of LS Group in 2004, the company name was changed to 'GAON CABLE.' Since then, GAON CABLE has been preparing for sustainable growth by focusing its full competencies on value-added new business development, new technology development and overseas market development. History

Since its establishment as the first Korean cable manufacturer in 1947, Gaon has been continually supplying assorted media for Power Transmission and Information Exchange, which resulted in enabling consumers to experience unprecedented industrialized comfort and communication services.

1976    Started to produce XLPE(C/V) Power Cable
1974    Started to Export Alpeth & Stalpeth Cable
1973    Set up new factory in Gun-po area.
1972    Concluded a technical assistance agreement with Western Electric Co., Ltd. of United States and Showa Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. of Japan.
1965    KS Verified and started Quality Management
1957    Started to manufacture PVC insulated wire and Communication Cables for the first time in Korea
1947    Founded Kukje Electric Wire Co., Ltd.
